At C + Co Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics in Charlottesville, Virginia, we understand that aging is both a physical and emotional transformation. We focus on providing a calm, care-centered experience led by double board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Elizabeth Chance. Dr. Chance not only believes in a compassionate, modern approach, but she is also one of the very few women facial plastic surgeons who consistently deliver top-tier results. Below is an overview of the C + Co Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics timeline for surgical procedures. Please note that consultations for injectable treatments are held with our seasoned nurse practitioner and have an abbreviated timeline.

A Welcoming First Touch

The caring and professional all-woman team at C + Co Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics offer white-glove concierge care that begins the first moment you contact us. We work with you to schedule an in-person consultation with Dr. Chance in Charlottesville, Virginia, typically within 3-6 months of your call. A $500 fee is collected to secure your consultation. This fee is non-refundable if your appointment is canceled less than 2 weeks before your scheduled consultation.

An Education Forward Consultation

During your one-on-one, hour-long consultation with Dr. Chance, she takes time to listen to your aesthetic hopes, dreams, and fears. This is an important first step in building a connection between patient and practitioner. Dr. Chance will also conduct a physical examination, and assess whether you are prepared for the physical and emotional recovery from surgery. If there is alignment between what you seek and what C + Co Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics offers, Dr. Chance will lay out all your options, educating you about the benefits and risks of each one so that you can make an informed decision. If surgery is the best path forward, our friendly care coordinator will send you a personalized fee schedule and work with you to select a date for the procedure. A 20% deposit is required to secure your appointment, and this becomes non-refundable six weeks prior to surgery.

Second Consultation, Preoperative Visit

A pre-operative visit is scheduled 4-6 weeks prior to your procedure. During this time, our care coordinator will go over all the details of your surgery, review your paperwork, and collect the remainder of your balance. For out-of-state patients, this can be done virtually; however, if both your initial consultation and pre-operative visit occur virtually, you will be required to arrive the afternoon before your procedure for an in-person review session and physical exam.

This time is also when our care coordinator will discuss the importance of good preparation for a smooth recovery and optimal results. You will receive a comprehensive checklist to guide you through everything from appropriate diet to stress management.

Our goal at C + Co Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics is to make your experience as seamless as possible.

The Day Of Your Procedure

Your procedure will occur in Dr. Chance’s own state-of-the-art, fully-accredited operating facility. The C + Co Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics surgical center is designed to be discreet; there is a separate entrance for surgical patients to ensure their absolute privacy. Unlike most other plastic surgeons, Dr. Chance only operates on one patient a day. When you arrive on the day of your procedure, you can be confident that you are Dr. Chance’s only priority. You must avoid eating or drinking anything (including water) after midnight the night before. We recommend taking a nice long shower to calm yourself and mentally prepare. Forgo any contacts, cosmetic or hair styling products, and jewelry, and remove any polish on your fingernails. Dress in comfortable, loose clothing that can be unbuttoned or unzipped to remove. A friend or family member must drive you to our center and back; you will not be permitted to leave via public transportation, rideshare, or taxi.
